These are the things that a club needs to do to use the Online Registration System (ORS).
The ORS contains all athletes, coaches and official registered last year.
Phase 1: Getting Ready
1)   Decide who is going to be your club administrator?
  • This is the person who will actually use the web based system in managing registrations.
2)   Register your club
  • Follow the instructions on the OAWA forum
3)   Decide how your club will re-register its existing members
There are 3 main ways that clubs can register their members, or you can use a mix of all three.
The ways are:
  • have wrestlers fill out with appropriate signatures paper versions of  the forms from the OAWA site or use a club specific form (ensuring that the OAWA waiver is fully included),  then submit them to the club administrator who enters them into the ORS. The club must keep the paper copies for 7 years as proof of waiver.
  • use the Self  Registration feature, and email existing members to re-register themselves. This requires accurate email addresses to be in the athlete/coach records. But means that the club administrator does not have to keep paper records.
  • The club administrator deletes all existing member records in the club, and tells all members to register directly online as new members. This may be the simplest for large clubs who currently donít have accurate member email addresses in their registration information
4)Set the flag in the club data to enable parent online registration. Otherwise the clubís name will not appear in the OAWA drop down list for club registration.
5)The club administrator must go through the 2008-2009 data and make the following changes:
  • All members are identified only as wrestlers in the current data. So Club Admins must identify  coaches, delete their wrestling profile (if they are not wrestling this year) and adding a coaching profile
  • Delete all members who are only Officials that are currently registered through the club. In 2009 Officials will be registered by the OAWOA directly.
  • Delete or mark inactive all members who are not returning
Now you are ready to accept registrations.
